I went to Cohen Health and Performance to address severe lower back, leg, and hip pain. It was affecting my sleep and my ability to exercise. Many other providers told me I had SI joint dysfunction but none of them fixed the issued. I chose CHP because I wanted to avoid the typical physical therapy office where you see a new therapist every visit and have to repeat everything (your pain, goals, and things you have tried in the past) over and over again each visit. CHP assigns a dedicated provider to each patient so that each patient is working with someone who understands their needs and can track their progress. I also chose it because the therapists seem laser focused on their work, as opposed to therapists at the large PT mills where there is a TV on distracting the therapists or where they are all talking to each other about things unrelated to physical therapy rather than making sure their patients are using proper form. At CHP, I was assigned to Sebastian Bellitto who is very knowledgeable, professional, attentive to detail, corrects my form, and recognizes that I want to make the most out of every session. Sebastian is a great coach as well. He creates exercise plans that are realistic and doable instead of assigning a million exercises that will overwhelm me and that I will not be able to execute. He also follows-up after my appointments with detailed written instructions about the exercises I should do at home and includes reminders so that I maintain proper form. During my treatment I had to have surgery for an unrelated issue. I was very upset that I would have to pause my PT progress but Sebastian worked around my limitations so that I still could be active and move toward my goals. I am thrilled to be pain free now and have CHP to thank! As a side note - they have very good COVID protocols which takes the worry out of my PT experience. I strongly recommend CHP for anyone looking to put their pain or injuries in the past so that they can accomplish their goals!
