I’m a former physical therapist, and have had weird sensations in my left leg for three years. I tried many things over the years, including physical therapy at five different locations. Each time I was disappointed, as the treatment was formulaic and, apart from the initial evaluation, I only spoke with the physical therapist for 5 minutes at each session. And I didn’t get any better. Towards the end of last year I received a recommendation to try Cohen Health and Performance. My friend let me know that it’s out of network, but assured me that I’d be happy I went there. And he was so right. The difference is night and day, and after three long and painful years, I’ve finally made progress and am feeling well again. I had10 sessions with Dr Kelly Henry. She worked with me, and only me, for an hour each session, and tailored my in clinic and at home exercise program each week based on my progress. She watched closely to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly, and made adjustments if I wasn’t. And if I couldn’t tolerate a specific exercise, she adjusted it so that I could, all the while targeting the muscle that needed to be strengthened. My symptoms decreased, and my function improved. Thank you Kelly, and thank you Cohen Health and Performance. I hope I won’t need physical therapy in the future, but if I do, I’ll be back. It’s the only physical therapy model that worked for my strange set of symptoms.
